Prayer and Praise

Today at 4pm about 250 people met outside Norman Regional Healthplex to pray and sing praises. It was amazing to see so many gathered together because of one very special person. We prayed for Leslie's full recovery, but we also prayed for God's will. We prayed that we all can feel the healing hand of God through it all. God was not just looking down on us today, He was there with us. And it wasn't just 250 people praying for Leslie, there were people from all over the world praying for her at the same time as all of us. Now that is powerful.
God knows we all are hurting for Leslie. She is so many things to us all. Leslie is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, neice, cousin and friend. To some that came today, Leslie is a stranger. They have never met her, but she has somehow touched their life, and they were there, fervently praying for Leslie and her family.
On behalf of the Bond and Evans' family, they thank you all. They are humbled that so many people would take time out of their busy lives to come and pray for Leslie. Joy said she is awed and amazed at how many people love her daughter. They can't thank you enough for all you have done. Not just today, but over the course of the last few weeks. They thank you for your love, your support and your prayers.
Please don't stop praying for Leslie and her family. They can feel your love and the love of our heavenly Father.

  1. These pictures are absolutely amazing! Just think of the impact that was made on the people just passing by who may have stopped to listen to hear what was going on. Leslie may be laying in a hospital bed BUT the lives she is changing is phenomenal.
Like my 4 year old sings, "Our God is so BIG, so STRONG, and so MIGHTY, there's NOTHING my God cannot do- for you!"
I have been praying from the beginning and will continue to...

  2. I came across this blog because my friend text me this afternoon and said she found my missing younger sister! I just had to rush home from work to see and sure enough she does look like me, even my 5 year old son thinks so! Then I started reading...this makes my heart hurt for you all. I want you to know that even though we don't know each other you are going to be in our prayers. This has touched my heart and has been on my mind since I read it early this evening. My 5 year old son calls her my twin, haha! So, we prayed for my "twin" tonight and will continue to do so. God is so good! :)

  4. I don't know you but your story has really touched my heart. I think it takes a very special person be a mother to someone elses children. I just really love that about you and I don't even know you. I am so sad to hear about your own children taken from you. I just wanted to let you know that my family and many more are praying for you and your family. I am going to pass your story on to my friends and everyone I know. Our God is so good and He will pull you through this. God Bless!!!!!

  5. Just saw this blog via Kelly! I'm praying for you and your family! Prayer is the number one key right now! I had my son via emergency c-section due to no heartbeat. He was without oxygen for 2-5 min and then has seizures. He didn't open his eyes for 10 days! 15 months later he is great! No brain damage! He's a perfect and healthy little boy! The only reason for this is because of prayer from everyone! You can be healed!

  6. I work at this hospital and was there the day Leslie and her husband came in. I kept thinking how much I admire her strength and what a beautiful lady she is. I prayed for the family that day. Due to privacy laws and the fact I work "as needed", I did not know the events that took place after that day (although I've wondered often about her). A friend just happened to send me the link to this blog today so I could pray for her. I was shocked to see it was her. I am saddened to hear things happened the way they did. I wish I had known about today's prayer gathering earlier, as I would've been there. I will continue to pray for Leslie and her family.

  9. This poor family... her husband struck with grief only a few years ago to have this situation potentially play out again, my heart goes out to this man. Not only him but her family, my heart is with each and every family member through this very difficult time. I know the anxiety all of them feel as I almost died Jan '10 from double pneumonia. They sent me to the ICU to die- not get better. They feared there was no hope of recovery for me- my lungs were only working at barely 1% capacity and i was on 100% oxygen. I made it through, slowly, and here we are Oct and I'm still fatigued easily but I AM ALIVE. I was oxygen deprived too- I was passing out from lack of oxygen and being without oxygen for quite a few minutes at a time before the nurses realized I wasn't breathing (great hospital) SO KEEP FAITH! They said I was going to have noticeable and/or significant brain damage, BUT I did not have significant or mere noticeable. I'm just fine.

She can come out of this! You have the support, faith and love! She can recover and be a fully functional adult again! Times may seem bleak now but with love, strength, hope and faith she can do better.

Everyday she is alive is one more day she gets to fight and the fight does not stop! I'm rooting your family on and holding onto her survival. Such a beautiful and talented young woman...My heart is with all of you.

  12. I just keep thinking and praying how God is certainly able to heal Leslie, and what a true testimony that would be to so many people that do and do not know Him. I have been praying and will continue to pray that God would choose to touch her and allow her to "come back" to her family and friends. I do not know her personally, but have many friends and family that love and adore her. Her story has truly touched me and I pray for her as often as she comes to mind (and that is alot). May the Lord continue to strengthen and encourage the family. You are loved!

  17. The pictures of the Circle of Prayer are incredibly wonderful, inspiring and faith building...........we will never know how many people were moved to search for God, to pray for Leslie, and to come closer to the Father because of this amazing outpouring of love and faith.

We are praying here in Corvallis Oregon and will continue to do so, not only as a couple, but our family is also praying as is our church family at Circle church of Christ. We are imploring our God for a mighty miracle on behalf of Leslie, Mark and the entire family.

God is faithful and He will sustain us............

  31. I was asked to pray for Leslie from a FB friend Lindy Hunt, Leslie is a friend of her daughters... ever since I heard the story a while ago I have been praying day and night.. Leslie has not left my thoughts... As a mom of a daughter who has had 5 brain surgeries since birth, my heart goes out to Leslie, her husband and their family... I will continue to pray until Leslie is healed! I have been posting prayers and songs on Loving Leslie everyday and night... I check this spot out often but did not have an account to join :(
but my daughter did, I think I will have her make me a g~mail account today.
I just want you to know that so many prayer warriors are praying without ceasing... we are standing together in one accord for Leslie's healing. After prayiing last night on my face before the Lord, I woke this morning hearing "Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love"
after searching it out I found out it comes from
    Psalm 143 verse 8 ♥
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Then I found these words in a song~

Let the Morning Bring Me Word
    (Psalm 143)

Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love

For I have put my trust in you

Show me the way that I should go

For to You I lift up my soul

Yes, to you I lift up my soul

    O Lord, hear my prayer

Listen to my cry for mercy

    In Your faithfulness and righteousness

    Come to my relief

    Answer me quickly, O Lord

    Answer me quickly, O Lord

Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love

For I have put my trust in you

Show me the way that I should go

For to You I lift up my soul

Yes, to you I lift up my soul

Teach me to do Your will

    For You are my God

    May Your good Spirit

    Lead me on level ground.

    Psalm 5

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD,
    consider my sighing.
2 Listen to my cry for help,
    my King and my God,
    for to you I pray.

    3 In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait in expectations.

    Psalm 27:13-14

13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.

    14 Wait for the LORD;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the LORD.

AMEN! Our God is an Awesome God!!! I know He is doing something BIG! Look at how many prayer warriors God is gathering together to pray for Leslie! I just sent out the "Loving Leslie" site to almost 400 of my friends yesterday and 99% of them joined in minutes of me sending it out! Praise the Lord! We have to keep praying, stand firm and not stop until we get our answer! Please give Leslie and her Husband a big hug and kiss from me... Let them know that people from all over the world are praying! I am from New Jersey... If I lived closer I would have been at the hospital with everyone else praying... BUT I was there in spirit! I have gotten many of my family members praying too... Leslie is very <3 very covered in
prayer as her husband and family... I hope you are feeling them!!!
    PSALM 103:20~22

20~ Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

21~ Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts you his servants who do his will.

22~ Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

    AMEN! ♥

    Psalm 20:4-7 (New International Version)

4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.

    6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
he answers him from his holy heaven
with the saving power of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. <3

Amen, Amen, and Amen! God Bless you all!!!

  32. Oh my Gosh! How awesome is God! As I was posting this note my sister was doing the same thing! Her name is Bea and she is right on top of my note! We have been doing this a lot lately! Yesterday as I was praying, the words of a the song came to me... so I posted these words

Your Love, Oh Lord~ by Third Day

Your love oh Lord Reaches to the heavens
    Your faithfulness
    Stretches to the skies
    Your righteousness
    Is like the mighty mountain
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide

    I will lift my voice
    To worship You my King
And I will find my strength
In the shadow of Your wings...

as I posted this on Leslie's prayer page, my sister was posting the song on the comment page!!! God is Awesome! God is working! He is hearing our prayers!!!

Way to go baby sister Bea! We did it again!

    Lets keep praying!
